Meet ISabella

I'm Isabella, a wedding photographer based in Seattle.

My approach is editorial first where it matters most. I think about light, composition, and posing the way a photographer working on a fashion shoot would, and I bring that same intention to your wedding day. Portraits aren't something I catch in passing. I build them, adjusting the light, the angle, the way you're standing, until the image actually looks like you at your best.

That doesn't mean the day feels stiff or overly directed. I'm still watching for the moments that happen in between the posed ones, and I capture plenty of those too. But the foundation of my work is intentional, considered imagery, not just documentary shooting with a few nice portraits mixed in.

When your gallery comes back, it isn't just a large batch of photos from the day. I curate it the way you'd curate a portfolio, choosing the images that work together, that tell a coherent story, the ones that you'll actually want to look at again in ten years. Every gallery reflects hours of editing and selection, not just what came out of the camera.

If that sounds like the kind of photography you're looking for, I'd love to talk about your day.

My Story

I've been a photographer for seven years now, here in Washington, and I still remember the exact wedding that made me realize this was the work I wanted to build a career around.

I didn't come up through a fashion studio or an assisting program. I learned by shooting real weddings, real couples, and real families, and slowly figuring out what actually made a photograph feel like more than just a nice picture. Over time that turned into an editorial style, but the instinct underneath it has never changed.

I grew up with a camera basically always in reach, which probably explains a lot. I notice light and framing constantly, even when I'm not working. It's less a skill I turned on but more like a way I've always seen things.

Seven years and many weddings later, that hasn't gotten old. If anything, I've gotten more particular about it, not less. I want every gallery I deliver to feel considered, curated, and unmistakably yours.

Love Notes

“Isabella always made it clear she genuinely cared about getting to know us and our specific wants and needs. She asked thoughtful questions and listened carefully, which helped us feel comfortable and confident in her as our photographer. On our wedding day, she captured every perfect moment without us even having to ask, and the sneak peek photos she sent us were absolutely stunning. The quality of her work exceeded what we were hoping for, and she made the whole experience feel effortless. We couldn't be happier with Images by Isabella and would recommend her to any couple looking for a photographer who truly understands what matters most on your big day."

My approach

My style lives at the intersection of documentary and editorial. I'm not interested in stopping your day to stage it, but I am interested in composition, light, and intention. The result is a gallery that feels observed rather than posed, elevated rather than performed.

Before I ever pick up a camera, I take the time to understand you, your story, your taste, the texture of your relationship. That groundwork is what allows me to move quietly and confidently through your wedding day, anticipating the moments worth holding onto before they happen.

I photograph with a fine-art sensibility and a documentarian's patience. The goal is always the same: images that feel unmistakably yours, and that will feel just as true twenty years from now.

How I work

A wedding of real scale and detail requires more than technical skill. It requires someone who can hold the full shape of the day; timeline, light, family dynamics, the quiet unplanned moments without ever becoming a presence you have to manage.

That's the role I take on. I work closely with your planner and vendor team, I arrive with a clear plan and the flexibility to abandon it the moment something better happens, and I move through your day the way a trusted guest would: present, attentive, unobtrusive.

I take on a limited number of weddings each year. It's the only way I know to give every couple the depth of attention their day deserves, from our first conversation through the final delivery of your gallery.

Written for the Intentional

This is for you if...

You've approached your wedding planning with intention. Every choice, from venue to florals to guest experience, was made with real thought rather than convenience.

You see your wedding photographs as an heirloom, something that will be passed down rather than posted and forgotten.

You want photographs that feel timeless rather than trend driven. Images you'll love as much in twenty years as you do the week after your wedding.

You value a calm, unobtrusive presence on your wedding day. Someone who anticipates rather than directs, so you can stay fully present in your own celebration.
